R&D Test Systems is looking for a Business Development Manager

Do you have experience with business development? Are you able to create and secure a close relationship with customers and stakeholders? R&D’s department of Test Systems is looking for a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our global sales strategy for aerospace and other industries.


R&D is experiencing a growing demand for our turnkey test solutions within aerospace and other industries. For this reason, we are looking for a Business Development Manager who will play an important role in expanding our market share.

You will be part of the R&D’s department of Test Systems, which develops and delivers technically complicated heavy-duty test rigs within the industries of aerospace, wind, oil and gas. Over the years, we have accumulated knowledge and experience within the development and delivery of complete turnkey test rigs for a broad palette of large and internationally acclaimed companies.

Responsible for our global business development
We are looking for a committed and extrovert person, who will take part in further development of our business within aerospace and other industries. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for implementing our global sales strategy as well as leading the development of this area.
You must expect approx. 90 travel days per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and developing new and existing customers
  • Updating and maintaining strategic business development plans
  • Managing and retaining relationships with existing customers
  • Increasing customer base
  • Negotiating with stakeholders
  • Target and segment customers
  • Prioritise own accounts, define business opportunities and customer needs
Experience with sales of technical solutions
You have experience with sales of technical and complex solutions, preferably for the aerospace industry. Personally, you are ambitious and committed to your assignments.

We expect that you:

  • Have minimum 2 years of experience with sales of technical solutions
  • Are fully proficient in English
  • Are experienced within quotations and price calculations
  • Are independent and have excellent planning skills
  • Have experience with canvas sales

Preferably you have an engineering degree and minimum 4 years of work experience as an engineer.

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
